Our Story

Dilapidation Surveys Australia is a business passionate about delivering cost effective, quick turnaround and comprehensive dilapidation surveys and condition reports….it’s what we specialise in.

This business was established over 30 years ago by an entrepreneur with an extensive building and loss adjusting background, noting during this time frame numerous dilapidation reports of varying complexities have been completed throughout south east and regional Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Dilapidation surveys previously undertaken cover a diverse range of areas and include but are not limited to hospitals, water infrastructure, high rise residential and commercial towers, retail and commercial shopping complexes, warehouse complexes, heritage listed buildings, educational facilities, court facilities, environmental infrastructure, hotels, transport infrastructure, student accommodation, tunnels and entertainment infrastructure and low rise residential complexes.

Gil Tomkins joined the Dilapidation Surveys Australia team in 2010 liaising with and conducting in field dilapidation surveys for their extensive client base in and around south east and regional Queensland.

Gil worked with and had previously been a business partner with the director of  Dilapidation Surveys Australia. Upon retirement of the founding director, and with his building background and detailed  knowledge of the company, Gil acquired the Dilapidation Surveys Australia business.
